Remote Biotechnology Procurement Manager

Clients work with a biotech procurement expert who implements & manages a proactive sustainable procurement, inventory & supply risk management process that keeps the lab running smoothly & satisfies the requirements of Accounting, Finance & Legal.  Our centralized & scalable approach minimizes costs via strategic purchasing methods that identify savings opportunities as well as eliminate maverick spending & duplicate orders for common lab supplies.  This program is for biotech companies that have an internal buyer as well as those taking advantage of the Buyer Program.​     

  • Lead strategic purchasing process & negotiations for compound libraries, lab supplies, capital equipment, lab buildouts & service contracts

  • Inventory & supply risk management of critical materials & common lab supplies including forecasting, tracking & ordering

  • Lead Procurement Committee comprised of R&D stakeholders

  • Management of suppliers, service providers & CROs

  • Host meetings with Finance & serve as liaison between the lab and Finance ensuring informed purchasing decisions that are within budget

  • Take the lead concerning RFPs, custom materials/packaging, lot reserves, standing orders, back order mitigation & alternative products

  • Develop/implement procurement policy & workflow & participate in requisition review process 

  • Purchasing software selection, implementation & administration
